Official Symbian Twitter Application

Today, Twitter launched new versions of Twitter applications with easy and faster user interface for Android and iOS. But as a user of Symbian60 phone Nokia E52, I feel deprived from this kind of little happiness that I get while tweeting. So thought to speak out that "This is not Happening". This is my mail to twitter about my concern of not having any official Twitter Application for Symbian mobile Operating System. Let's see what will happen.
Dear Twitter and mobile support,
I am a huge fan of twitter and always stay connected with it.I use both the web and the mobile version, whenever I can access any of these. But,today I am left behind. There are official applications from twitter for Android or iOS,but in this quest, the users of Symbian60 OS are left aloof.Today, you guys released a new version of Twitter application available for android and iOS under your campaign #LetsFly,with great user interface and easy navigation. But,have you thought that there is not a single O…

Friends Birthday Treat - The 3 Idiots

I am going to share this really funny and Pranky incident that happened with my friend Pradeep Chowdhury, who is one of my best classmate since and during my Higher Secondary Schooling. His Birthday went on 20th November and we all wished him on his Facebook Profile. And as usual, all friends demanded for Birthday party. But he was hesitant about it
But,suddenly one day I met with him while I was going back to home.He was with another friend Nishant Ojha and was going to Nishant's home which is just a matter of few minutes from my home. Finally, caught him and asked for the party or a small treat.Nishant also took my side and asked for the treat(That's called Friendship and tang khichna). But,still he was hesitating to give us a treat as Nishant's Birthday also went on 18th November and his birthday treat is still pending. So,First treat should be from Nishant's side.
But,we finally changed up his mind and we were offered a party at The DOMINO'S Pizza at Liluah Inox. Now,how…

Deepavali - The festival of Lights in India

As soon as the Durga puja ends, the planning for the festival of Deepavali starts. Deepavali is the festival of lights and Diyas (Oil lamps),but in most part of India, almost every part of India celebrates it with Fire Crackers and smalls Bombs.Though it is forbidden by the Government to use it socially as its s
ound is so loud that it directly irritates and effects on Small babies and Old age peoples, who can not bear it and can cause heart attacks and much more if it is not used carefully, but still it is used widely.
Deepavali is celebrated in the month of October or November as per the date prescribed by the Hindu Panchang's(Calendar) reading.Though these months are the arrival of winter season, but the cold breeze and cold weather can not be felt because of the heat generated by the crackers and lights.
But the best part ofdeepavali that I like is not thecrackers, but the cleaning up of the house and decorating it with lights and Rangoli ,as it is said to be the arrival of Goddess Lax…

Chhath Puja

We all know that the Chhath Puja was only a part of Northern India, specially peoples from Bihar and Jharkhand used to worship Lord Sun(Surya) by giving Aragh(Pouring water facing towards the Sun). But,worship of Gods can not be accumulated to a certain region in a religious country like India. Today,it is worshiped in almost every part of the country. In my family,we never did rituals of Chhath Puja, but back few years my maternal grand maa told us to do it as she begged something from Chhath Maa and she fulfilled her wishes. That something was me obviously. So,my mom  started doing this but not full fledgedly as she does not have the physical energy to fulfill all the rituals,as she is old and can't sit and stand for a long time. So,she opted to give a bunch of Bananas to our neighbour aunty who worships chhath puja and goes to Ghat(Shore, may be of river or fresh water pond).          The biggest part of Chhath Puja is cleanliness. It is said and adhered to that the worshiper has to ea…

If I had two extra hours in a day,I would......

Now a days, every person's life is so busy and so hectic that we do not get time for other things.Even we do not get much time to complete our pending works on the same day or other day.In this way,the pending works get clotted and becomes a huge mountain to climb upon.
I was thinking that in these busy hours of work or study,if I get two more extra hours in a day,
what will I do?
Whether I will spend them in completing my pending works of getting a new Ration Card,as we have from shifted from the rented house to our own home on the other side of the town,or will I go to meet some of my friends and relatives with whom I never find time to meet, though they are in the same town. I have got other options also to spend my time, like meeting and having fun with my old classmates hovering around Kolkata or visiting my old area & meeting those peoples who were with us in that rented colony since the time I opened my eyes as a new born baby, almost 22 years ago.        They have become a pa…

Creative and funny side of ERROR 404 messages we find on Internet

Normally, I used to surf internet looking for some articles to read. The process of searching on Google or other Search engines and going through the results and articles have become a normal process for internet users.

We know that each and every webpage found on internet does not have a guarantee to open when clicked upon. Some might have been postponed or some are under maintenance. That is why, websites show ERROR 404 or 502 while you try to open the URL.          These are the normal replies that you get when a website is not available on its server. But,I experienced something unique and captured a snapshot of it to post in on my Blog for you,my readers.

It is not a matter of single encounter or single day.I have captured these snaps from my browser on regular intervals and they are really a funny way to express that the site is under maintenance or have been moved from that URL.
But,I do think that the search engines or developers are changing their point of view to say 'No' …

Feeling of doing something new to my Blog

I was thinking to change my Blog Template from many days. I was not feeling like it was not very much appealing, but was not getting time to do so. Normally,I feel lazy lazy for doing any such things to my blog because I do not have any basic knowledge about languages like XHTML,HTML or CSS.

But,to personalize the inbuilt icons and boxes of your blog template, you have to go though some changes in the HTML File. This was main reason for me to be lazy for completing this job. As I thought this will consume my lots of time as I am totally unaware of this.

Finally, one day, I sat infront of my PC,searched Google and found some relative articles regarding this formatting of HTML for my personification. Finding help from these articles I edited and created my Blog Template and added required widgets and services.
The help from the articles which I found on internet made me feel like a techy. And I completed this work in a matter of time.Though I do not belong from that the science fie…

The worst day of my Life when I lost The Ghazal King 'Jagjit Singh'

I will start this from the very beginning, it was 9th October 2011 at around 10pm IST. I finished my dinner, came online as of daily routine. Logged in to Facebook, checked out my stuffs, read some blogs. As nothing was making me feel good I thought to go to bed and take a sleep. I have made my mind that from today itself I will wake up in time, will sleep early and without wasting my time on FB at nights. The atmosphere was breeze-less tonight. As I was not feeling sleepy,I took out my mp3 player and started listening to romantic and soft-core songs. But all in vain, finally, I thought to get myself relieved by listening to Ghazals of Jagjit Singh Ji. I always have the folder named 'Jagjit Singh' whether it is my phone or MP3 player. I have been a fan of him since the time someone very special asked me to listen to his songs to help me calm myself and control my aggressiveness. It was 2006 that I got myself addicted to his voice. My first expereince after listening to his ghaza…

Durga Puja-The Great Indo-bong Festival

Poor People in Rich India, where are the so called philanthropists?

It was Ganpati Visarjan of 2011, a normal day in the month of September with neither hot nor colder night. What astonished me suddenly was glimpse of a man sleeping on the cemented seats on the Ganges ghat of Bandhaghat wrapping up himself with few pages of newspaper and a plastic sheet. Don't know whether he had his supper or not. But to keep himself aloof from cost of the treatment of diseases like cough, cold or malaria, he had covered up himself with a piece of paper as the breeze from river Ganges were not strong enough to keep the mosquitoes away from this home-less guy. He might be a Rickshaw Puller or a labourer, may be an unemployed poor or a beggar. By observing his condition I found that he didn't even had a piece of cloth on his body other than his underwear which made my assumption strong for him to be poor beggar.
I found myself in an awkward situation. Felt pity for that poor guy from an Indian citizen and a human's perspective, that my own race is lagging be…

Ganpati Visarjan - A Rare Chance which I gotta experience

It was a hectic day on 4th September 2011 as I after finishing the birthday party of TS, went to tutions. While returning back to home made a phone call to a friend just to ask whether Ganpati Visarjan is done or not. Fortunately they were late and I got a chance to experience that moment with friends. Asked them to slow down as it will take 15 minutes from my place to reach them. Went up there, parked my bike and bag in a safe place. Joined them on the streets leading to Ganges ghat, popularly known as Bandhaghat in Howrah. They danced throughout the way upto the ghat celebrating the festival of Ganesh Puja to its fullest. Later they stopped, prayed and submerged the idol of Lord Ganesha into the river Ganges.

I was lucky to experience this not only because they were late on their way to Ganesh Visarjan but because I was fortunate enough to pray in-front of Lord Ganesha and also had an opportunity to drink coconut water from the coconut which was used to worship him. It really felt ni…
